Of Utmost Importance

OF UTMOST IMPORTANCE

Luke 18:16

       The Kingdom of God is of utmost importance. It is the gospel we preach.   Luke 16:16  "The law and the prophets were until John: since that time the kingdom of God is preached, and every man presseth into it."  Now I know that not everyone agrees with that. Nevertheless, it is the gospel John the Baptist preached. Moreover it is the gospel that Jesus preached. It is also the gospel that Paul preached. Paul said if anyone preached a different gospel, they should be damned. The kingdom is to be primarily sought, Mat 6:33  "But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you."

        How does one enter the kingdom of God? It cannot be earned with good works or purchased with money :24, 25. It cannot be earned with childish innocense. Luke 18:16  "But Jesus called them unto him, and said, Suffer little children to come unto me, and forbid them not: for of such is the kingdom of God."  It requires that one enters as children with absolute faith and dependence on Jesus Christ. Entrance into the kingdom of God requires two births. One must be born of the water (fleshly birth) and also of the Spirit (Spiritual birth). For the flesh is flesh and the Spirit is Spirit.  John 3:5,6.

See Luke 21:31 "So likewise ye, when ye see these things come to pass, know ye that the kingdom of God is nigh at hand. "
