MORE ABOUT EDEN

In our last post a new person is introduced to us.  The name Eden, mentioned in Scripture, here is in a very important situation.  God is speaking to an unusual person.  First we note that God says to him, "Thou hast been in Eden, the garden of God."  This person is pictured as clothed in great beauty as a created being.  In the next verse he is seen as a very important person.  He is called the anointed cherub that covereth.  In that verse 14 God said to him, "...I have set thee in honor:  thou wast upon the holy mountain of God..."  and in verse 15 God said, to him, "Thou wast perfect in thy ways from the day that thou wast created, till iniquity was found in thee."  In verses 16-18 his fiery end is described.  This alludes to Satan and his position in Heaven until he sought to dethrone God and was cast out of Heaven to earth.  Going farther on in Eze. we read in 31:9, "I have made him fair by the multitude of his branches: so that all the trees of Eden, that were in the garden of God, envied him."

Note here that all the trees of Eden, that were in the garden of God, envied Him.
In Eze_31:16, 18  God said, “I made the nations to shake at the sound of his fall, when I cast him down to hell with them that descend into the pit: and all the trees of Eden, the choice and best of Lebanon, all that drink water, shall be comforted in the nether parts of the earth…To whom art thou thus like in glory and in greatness among the trees of Eden? yet shalt thou be brought down with the trees of Eden unto the nether parts of the earth: thou shalt lie in the midst of the uncircumcised with them that be slain by the sword. This is Pharaoh and all his multitude, saith the Lord GOD.”   Here we see a prophesy of his end when he is cast into hell, and the marvel of nations at his demise.

Note the following verses:  Eze_36:35  "And they shall say, This land that was desolate is become like the garden of Eden; and the waste and desolate and ruined cities are become fenced, and are inhabited."  Joe_2:3  "A fire devoureth before them; and behind them a flame burneth: the land is as the garden of Eden before them, and behind them a desolate wilderness; yea, and nothing shall escape them."  Amo_1:5  "I will break also the bar of Damascus, and cut off the inhabitant from the plain of Aven, and him that holdeth the sceptre from the house of Eden: and the people of Syria shall go into captivity unto Kir, saith the LORD".   In Eze. 36:32-38 God was saying what it was like in Eden and How He will restore Israel to that condition.  Again, what are your thoughts?  Do you agree?  Please leave us a comment.
