GOD'S FIRST KINGDOM continued
When
I wrote of God's first kingdom in my last post, Adam and Eve were
reigning as king or God over all Eden and all the world. How sad that a
terrible thing happened. Eve and then Adam disobeyed God, ate of the
forbidden fruit, and thus abdicated their position thus elevating Satan
to the position of God of this world, and he still is.
In this Adam plunged the whole human race into sin. In the original pair there was not one sin until they ate of that forbidden fruit. Was God then defeated? Absolutely not! Under the sovereignty of Satan man continued to sin and become even more evil. One man, Noah, found grace in the eyes of the Lord. With the world wide flood God destroyed the whole world population except Noah, his wife, their 3 sons, and their wives because of their wickedness. Those 8 souls were saved in the ark and came out this side of the flood to start a new world population. Soon after the waters subsided Noah planted a vineyard in which act there was no sin, but he drank of ist wine and became drunk. While he was sleeping off his drunken stupor, his grandson, Canaan, went in and performed an incestuous homosexual act for which he was cursed. Canaan's brother, Cush, fathered a son named Nimrod. This Nimrod, under the sovereignty of Satan, built his own kingdom, Babylon, Gen. 10:10. There in the land of Shinar the world population speaking one language agreed they wanted to again have a relationship with God. They said let us build a tower whose top may reach into heaven, but they did it in the wrong way. They were thus seeking to reach heaven by their own efforts. Here in this revival of man's kingdom the religion of Babylon was begun with Sumerimas and Tammuz. God scattered them and confounded their language. Here is the beginning of nations and different languages. Keep that religion of Babylon and its place of origin in mind. God continued His sovereignty over all. Satan continued his position as god of this world and man was subject to Satan settled in Babylon in the land of Shinar. Was God defeated? No, No, No. Later we shall see what happened and how God maintained His sovereignty.

The Sovereign God is the only God for me!
Thank you Bro. Smith, He is the only one for me too. Are there any points in the article that you don't agree with? Would you mind telling me?
