The Next Great Event on God's Calendar

The Next Great Event on God's Calendar

God has a prophetic Calendar which He has revealed to us in His word.  According to that calendar, let us look to some things the next great event is not.  It is not death.  It may be for some, but for others it may not be.  It is not Christ's return to earth.  It is not the revelation of Anti Christ.  Each of these are to come, but they are not the next thing on God's Calendar.
The next great event on that calendar is the appearing of Christ for His own.  It will be a day of startling events.  Husbands will awaken to see their wife is missing.  Wives will likewise awaken to see their husband missing.  The work force will be greatly diminished because many have gone missing.  Planes will fall out of the sky because the pilot went missing.  This is taught in 1 Thess. 4:13-17 "But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope.  For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him.  For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep.  For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:  Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord."   The dead in Christ will rise first.  Then we shall be caught up with them to meet the Lord in the air.  It will be a time of reuniting with dead loved ones.  Those that sleep in Jesus will be brought by Him and we shall be caught up with them.  It will be a day of permanently gathering to our Lord.  So shall we ever be with the Lord.
Who is this One to Whom we shall be gathered?  He is the One Who called you into His service.  Tit. 2:14  "Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works."  He is the One Who called you to separation to Him (a peculiar people, or a people all for His own).  He is also the One Who called you to His salvation  2 Tim. 1:9  Who hath saved us, and called us with an holy calling, not according to our works, but according to his own purpose and grace, which was given us in Christ Jesus before the world began,"
Oh for that day!  I so often pray as John the Revelator did Rev 22:20  He which testifieth these things saith, Surely I come quickly. Amen. Even so, come, Lord Jesus."
