Keeping Your Family's Love Bank Full
Does anyone live in a family where there is never a disagreement? I think not. Disagreements surface between husband and wife, parents and child, child and child, and members of extended family. And oftentimes, the disagreement develops into harsh words and attitude that betrays love. This has come to be described as a withdrawal from the person's 'Love Bank'. Well, I don't have to tell you that to make withdrawals from a bank without making deposits soon creates a problem. This is true with the 'Love Bank'. Constant deposits need to be made, keeping the 'Love Bank' full.
Inside every person
is an
'emotional tank' desiring
to be
filled with
love.
Take
some time to write down as many ways as you can of how you can make
deposits into the Love Bank of someone you love. Here's one
for starters: Speak some kind and affirming words to that
special person once every hour for one full day. Someone has
said that three billion people in our world go to bed every night
hungry--but that four billion people go to bed every night hungry
for some word of encouragement and affirmation. Don't let
that be one of your loved ones.
We
admit that we are living in a very negative culture today.
It's easy to see all the things and ways that need to be
changed. But, don't be blind in the "GOOD" eye. You can
change your world by being intentional in seeing the 'good' in
those you love and making it known to them... and if you want to
double the effect, just tell them in the presence of other
people.
So go
ahead now...
Fill
up someone's Love Bank.
