GOD'S KINGDOM continued

Following the scattering of men over the face of the earth, God took a new approach.  He went to the seat of Satan's kingdom, Babylon.  There He called a man who had been reared in the land of Babylon where he also was a worshiper of Sumerimus and Tammuz, which later became known as Baal and Ashtoreth.  God called this pagan man in the Ur of the Chaldees to leave his father's house and all his kindred and come to a land that He would show him.  God promised that in Abraham's seed all the earth would be blessed.  At this point the world was still under the sovereignty of the kingdom of Babylon which was subject to the God of this world, Satan.  God would still carry out His purpose of having man in righteousness to be king over this world.  In calling Abraham to the separation just referred to above, God also covenanted to give Abraham the same land as Eden from the Mediterranean Sea to the Euphrates River.  This promise of the land coupled with a Godly seed, God gave not only to Abraham. He confirmed it also to Isaac, Abraham's son and also to Jacob, Isaac's son.  In this genealogy  God was already setting up the line through which the human king over this world would come.  While this world was still under the control of Babylon and Satan, God allowed His disobedient people in chastisement to be made slaves in Egypt from which He delivered them and gave them not a king but a priestly leader, Moses.  They were led by Moses, then Joshua, the judges, and finally a man who was both a prophet and judge, Samuel.  During Samuel's time of leadership, the children of Jacob rebelled and asked for a king.  They wanted to be like the rest of the world.  They chose Saul, but this was not God's choice.  God raised up David.  God promised David to give him sovereignty over Israel in an eternal dynasty.  Later that kingdom was divided, but the small kingdom of the south, Judah, maintained a king who was descended from David and the kingly tribe, Judah until Judah was captured by the Babylonians.  Then Jesus of the tribe of Judah, a son of David, was born.  He, as Daniel had prophesied, the God of Heaven established His kingdom in a spiritual sense.  That does not mean that He will not literally reign.  He will, but He set up His kingdom spiritually here, and He will later manifest it literally.  This is not the end, but it is another segment to show God working his purpose to have man rule or be king over this world in righteousness.  All the seeming failures or setbacks did not take our Lord by surprise.  They were simply stepping stones in His over all purpose to show His power to overcome all things to accomplish His purpose.  Do you agree with this blog?
