Daniel is a
brief commentary on the prophetic book of Daniel in the Old Testament. It takes the reader back to Babylon
or Iraq in
modern terms. It finds Daniel along with
Shadrach, Meshech, and Abed-nego in the kings captivity with a temptation to
eat the king’s meat which they refuse to do.
Nebuchadnezzar dreamed a dream which Daniel interpreted for him. That dream outlined the world’s history in “the
times of the Gentiles.’ Belshazzar saw
the hand writing on the wall, but he could not translate the message. Daniel translated it for him and it announced
the downfall of the empire of Iraq. The Medes and the Persians (Iran)
defeated Iraq
and moved their capital to the city of Babylon
from whence they ruled the world. Daniel dreamed a dream about four beasts, and
the angel told him the meaning, which again was a more detailed history of the
world in these “times of the Gentiles.”
This history goes to the very end of these kings and another king is set
up who is the Anti-Christ.
Mr. Roberts
relates this history using the modern names of the empires, and he shows them
lasting right up to the time of Christ’s return.
Mr. Roberts does
not try to fit into any particular school of thought. He seeks to pull out just what the Bible is saying.
You may not
agree with everything he says, but he lays down the challenge to use the Bible
as the measuring stick. If you cannot
prove him wrong with the Bible, then take heed to what he is saying.
This is the
sixth book Mr. Roberts has published. It
is now available on www.amazon.com in both
paper back and kindle.
